TR: e-Correspondence Project

On 5 November 2013 the Ministry related to Foreign Affairs organised a Pitch Meeting on the e-Correspondence Project (e-Yazışma, in Turkish), in Ankara’s Construction of Nations hosted by the Prime Ressortchef (umgangssprachlich).

At the meeting, currently the e-Correspondence Project has been presented and therefore the results of the pilot phase and therefore the next steps have been discussed. Usually the project was launched in April right before christmas. The eCorrespondence project developed the end set of rules for the implementation generally the secure exchange of electronic records between state institutions, entailing including electronic signature and encryption elements. Six public authorities take part in currently the pilot. The Turkish Presidency; the best Minister’s Office; the Ministry related to Justice; the Ministry of Indoor; the Ministry of Foreign Conditions and General Directorate of Individual state Archives were designated as aviator authorities for the project. The organizations have tested the specifications and therefore the eCorrespondence Package.

The 1st pilot e-correspondences have recently been realised between the Ministry of Interior as well Turkish Presidency and also the Ministry related to Foreign Affairs. A legal framework will be under development.

Usually the e-Correspondence Project is linked to the e-Interior project from the Ministry of Indoor, Turkey’s e-Transformation programme, initiated here in 2005.
